Combined plasmonic and upconversion rear reflectors for efficient dye-sensitized solar cells

The efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells has been increased using a back reflector structure that combines upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) to harvest NIR light and plasmonic silver particles to scatter light.
