Remote-control photocycloreversion of dithienylethene driven by strong push-pull azo chromophores

The push-pull azo chromophore can act as a photon-harvesting antenna to transfer energy to the DTE moiety to open the closed-ring. Thus, upon irradiating with visible light in a broad spectrum range, the photocycloreversion of DTE moieties can be induced with high conversion.
